To know a man, observe how he wins his object, rather than how he loses it; for when we fail our pride supports us; when we succeed, it betrays us.

Welcome to MacJournal!

Jan. 2nd, 2009 | 12:46 pm

Welcome

To get started, create a new entry by clicking on “New Entry” in the toolbar or choosing “New Entry” from the File menu. You can also drag files from the Finder in to the Sidebar or the Entries list to import them as an entry. Show the Inspector from the View menu to see settings for the current entry, journal, and document.

What's new in version 5?

  • All new interface, built for Mac OS X Leopard.

  • Add any kind of content, not just text. Drag PDFs, QuickTime movies, images, and more into the Sidebar to create an entry with anything on your computer.

  • Open more than one MacJournal document at a time and save them wherever you want, or just use the default document and never worry about saving.

  • Create Smart Journals from searches you perform.

  • Create aliases to entries that you can store in other journals.

  • Assign each entry a rating, status, and priority, and sort any journal by those values.

  • Record video from your iSight and attach it to any entry.

  • Performance enhancements for working with large numbers of entries.

Picture of my kingdom

Aug. 7th, 2008 | 06:21 am

Just a picture of my own area of work at the enterprise building
located in Makati. This is the place where I practise my reign of
terror over the staff (haha).

Notice the absence of paper, that's just the way I like it. Hate those
things. It's so ... Out of place in my world.

P.s. The phone is disconnected. Just so no one interrupts my work :-).

July 30 Log

Jul. 30th, 2008 | 08:04 pm
location: Philippines

7:47 AM Bo's Coffee Shop

Completed morning workout of weights and generally body sculpting. Giving feet time to recover from all the running I've been doing the past months.

9:30 AM Watson Wyatt

Job evaluation meeting to finalize job grades.

10:30 AM Cubicle

Checking on emails and planning the rest of the day. Too many demands on my time at work. There has to be a better way to get the work done. More delegation and work classification can be done. Turning down additional work will help.

12 PM Felix Restaurant Greenbelt 5

Lunch with Dante of Finance.

1:30 PM ACS Area

Meeting with project manager regarding preparations for the meeting with the developers.

4 PM ACS area

Celebrated birthday of one of the java developers. Met with selected team members to assist with the testing of the system. Seems the outcome is good.

5.45 PM

Left office very tired.

Car Registration

Jul. 22nd, 2008 | 03:26 pm
location: Philippines

Here at the LTO east avenue branch. Waiting for the realease of inspection results of car. When I get the papers will be walking to the main LTO building for registration payment and stickers.

The LTO now seems cleaner and a bit more efficient now. Comparing it to my last visit last year, it is. But they still have not extended their services or make it available at an earlier time like 7 AM. That would be a great customer service.

Also, maybe they can try to have registrations made via the Internet. If only dreams come true.

Just when I thought things are going fine, I was told that my car insurance cannot be validated. Oh well, maybe next time.
